Beyond the Vote: What Multicultural eligible voters are weighting in the final stretch
The 2024 vote does not tell campaigns everything they need to know about the 2026 electorate.
My Code’s latest Culture 360 Political Research finds that fewer multicultural eligible voters would make the same choice today. But movement is not concentrated in switching. It is spread across reconsideration, uncertainty, potential nonparticipation, and retrospective interest in participating.
Those conditions differ by community. Economic pressure is widespread, immigration proximity varies, and political safety and information overload shape the environment in which campaigns are asking people to engage.
Lower continuity should not automatically be treated as greater persuadability. Campaigns need to understand the participation condition before deciding how to respond.
Political participation isn’t won by reaching voters.
It’s won by making the stakes relevant and the next step consequential.
