Chief Executive Officer

Amani Duncan

Amani Duncan is CEO of My Code, the media company and marketing agency built for growth audiences, the fastest growing and most culturally influential consumers in the country. Her argument is direct: growth audiences are no longer a segment to be reached, they are the general population by the numbers, and the industry's spending should reflect it.

A two-time CEO and two-time CMO with more than 25 years of executive leadership, she has been the first and only person to hold the senior roles she has held across four industries: recorded music, manufacturing, advertising, and media. She began at Def Jam and went on to lead at Capitol Music Group/EMI, MTV/Paramount, C.F. Martin Guitar, and BBH USA (Publicis Groupe), where as CEO she delivered Cannes Lions-winning work including Glass Ceiling Breaker, honoring Vice President Kamala Harris, and Google's Black Owned Friday.

Named Ad Age Agency Executive of the Year, Amani has served as Jury President at Cannes Lions and Dubai Lynx and co-chaired the Effies. She is an Independent Board Director at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and a member of the Fast Company Executive Board. She has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Los Angeles Times, Ad Age, Fast Company, Adweek, and Advertising Week.
